Vintage Pattern of the Week!

This week we go back to the roaring 20s with this gorgeous flapper style pattern:

This pattern would look stunning made up in a lovely crepe backed silk satin or a double sided silk satin with the belt made from the same fabric and then a gorgeous vintage style diamante clasp at the front to add a little splash of bling.

The bow details on the shoulder could be from ribbon or pieces of silk chiffon (or completely left off if it feels a little too girly for you) and I'd certainly consider doing all of the cute skirt flounces in a soft sheer silk chiffon as well.

I could even see this design transformed into a  floor length gown with extra layers of the silk chiffon founces going down the length of the skirt but keeping it a nice slim a line fit.

For those really wanted to go all out imagine a really fine row of hand sewn bugle beads along the edges of all of the flounces - nothing too heavy as it would weigh down each of the soft layers, just a single row of beads to add another hint of sparkle.... devine!!!
