Recent Work: Nicoles custom vintage inspired short strapless dress

There are times when I love what I do more than ever, and this was one time when Nicole came along requesting a short fitted wedding dress as she wasn't interested in a big bouffant "meringue" for her day.  I love a bride who knows what they want and doesn't let traditions dictate what they wear!!

Nicole went for a fitted strapless bodice with a sweetheart neckline with a guipure lace overlay that she found through www.tessuti-shop.com.  The skirt was a straight knee length style but with quite deep soft pleats at the front giving her plenty of movement and avoiding a super tight skirt.  The back of the skirt is more fitted with just darts and a split at the back.  The entire gown was made from an ivory duchess silk satin and of course fully lined and boned.

In keeping with the simple style she went for a simple band around the waist that sat like a belt.

For her hair she had a gorgeous lace motif hairpiece made from the offcuts of her lace from her gown that was hand made by my milliner Leila Koster along with a simple bandeau style veil made by myself.

I can't wait to see some pictures from this wedding as I know she will be looking amazing!!
