1920s Wedding dress style inspiration

I have just received a small order of really cute (and really affordable!!) beaded motifs in very art deco styles.  I plan to find some time to hand sew these onto wide ribbons to be worn as a 1920s style headband for brides and bridesmaids.... fingers crossed I can find the time so that I will have them on display at the upcoming A Very Vintage Wedding Fair.  In keeping with this gorgeous 1920s styling I thought I would put together a bit of inspiration for those who might be considering a 1920s style wedding dress and have no idea where to start.  Here are a selection of fabulous original 1920s designs that I can recreate to make a gorgeous flapper style wedding dress.....

The above two pattern companies have the best range of reprinted 1920s dress patterns and they also have a huge range of really fabulous designs for other eras as well... definitely worth sitting down over a coffee and having a scroll through.

For those who would love a Silver Sixpence 1920s style dress but cannot attend fittings in Brisbane, the beauty of these 1920s styles is that they are not super fitted and can easily be made to a standard size and shipped worldwide with minimal adjustments required!   I'm always available if you have absolutely any questions!  melanie@silversixpence.com.au
