Here are a few happy snaps taken in my overcrowded work room of one of my recent custom gowns. Kristen came to me via my mum after she read an SOS email requesting a dressmaker. As fate may have it she was after an Audrey Hepburn inspired gown which is my specialty!! Kristen is a Toowoomba girl (my home town!) so after several weekends of coming to Brisbane for fittings her dream finally became a reality.
The gown is made from dupion silk with a soft tulle gathered overlay on the skirt. Adding to the fullness of the skirt is a custom length "mega full" tulle petticoat. To match the gown I also created a short fly away style veil with a cute bow made from her gown fabric to top off the "Funny Face" look.
