Vintage Wedding Accessories: Seamed stockings

Seamed stockings have been something that I have always been a huge fan of.  I'm not talking the standard run of the mill black fishnets with the black seam which seem to be all you can get in department stores but lovely skin coloured sheer pantyhose with a seam.  I think a fabulous pair of seamed stockings - whether they be fishnets or sheer pantyhose - is an absolute must for brides going for the 1950s tea length or shorter gowns and don't forget your bridesmaids as well!

I recently came across a couple of brands of absolutely gorgeous seamed stockings available from the UK through www.mytights.com.  For Australian brides who are hesitant to order from overseas they can be ordered through Silver Sixpence.

These are by far my favourite and if I were to renew my vows I would definitely wear these with a fun 1950s tea length gown (and I'd probably be in Vegas with an Elvis of some description not far away!):

Nude coloured stockings with either contrasting colour or matching nude seam and cuban heel:

I want a pair of these stockings just for the packaging..... how gorgeous!

Another fun pair:

In addition to these gorgeous styles, they also have standard fishnet stockings as well as seamed fishnet stockings in a range of colours.  The options are endless - full pantyhose... stockings which require a sexy garter belt .... stayups.... something for everyone really.

So don't overlook this fantastic detail when you are putting together your complete vintage bridal look!
