Sneak Peek: 2 new Silver Sixpence ready to wear designs

It sure is madness here at vintage wedding headquarters!!  Amongst the many custom gowns that I'm currently working on I'm desperately trying to find time to create a few more designs for my ready to wear collection which will all be on display at A Very Vintage Wedding Fair in March.

Since I barely have time to think, I haven't had the time to properly photograph my two latest designs but I have included some happy snaps from my work room until then!

First up is "1954 Oscars" which is a design I have made for a custom bride quite a while ago and I loved it so much I wanted to offer it to all of my brides.  It is a replica of the gown that Audrey Hepburn wore to the 1954 Oscars.  It is available with the embroidered silk organza as pictured or plain organza (the decorative organza is in very very limited quantities!!!)  Both options are available for $790 in a standard size and $1140 made to measure.  This dress also has a matching fabric covered belt that is 19mm wide which isn't shown in these photographs.

Secondly is a fun ballerina length (ankle length) gown, "Billie".  This is based on an original 1950s evening gown pattern and features a cummberbund at the waist which can be done in either the same colour as the gown or a contrast colour as shown.  Billie will also be available in a shorter tea length version without the organza overlay on the skirt and a simple narrow fabric band at the waist - this would be a fabulous design for bridesmaids or a more laid back bridal gown.  The ballerina length gown as shown is available for $1000 in a standard size and $1350 made to measure.  The shorter length version is available for $620 in a standard size and $970 made to measure.
